Official Piano Technician for the Mount Hood Jazz Festival 2022-2025

I have a wide range of clients and I’m always looking to take on more!
From Jazz Festivals and Churches to Heavy Metal bands, Hotels, casual players and life long enthusiasts.
I have been working in Oregon as Certified Piano Technician for over 5 years with plenty of experience doing minor and major repairs – from finding that mystery sound and replacing strings to tone regulation and refurbishing an action from the ground up.

When to Take Action
A piano will go out of tune naturally due to the 18-20 tons of pressure held within its 230 strings.
This coupled with natural vibrations and changes in temperature/humidity will effect the wood density, causing the strings to either loosen or tighten.
A good rule of thumb is to tune every 6 months, or every time you change from the heating system to the cooling system in your home.

Certification:
Being certified means knowing more then how to tune a piano.
A Piano Technician’s goal is to understand every piano and diagnose any problem to produce the most beautiful sound.
Grand, Spinet, Drop, Upright, Studio,
you name it!

Pricing:
| Tuning | $200 |
| Chipped Key top | $45 a Key |
| Deep Cleaning | $50 |
| Regulation | $50 an hour |
A driving fee of $25 an hour will apply to jobs outside of the Portland Metro Area.
Tuning should take around 1 hour.
